MacVNC 1.0 — by DNDGamersUK (dndgamers.com/tools/)
====================================================

A small VNC viewer for Windows with proper scaling, made for connecting
to a Mac's built-in Screen Sharing. One file, nothing to install.

RUN IT
Double-click MacVNC.exe. Needs Windows 10 or 11 (uses the .NET Framework
  that's already built into Windows).

Windows may say "Windows protected your PC" the first time, because the
program isn't code-signed. Click "More info" then "Run anyway".

SET UP THE MAC (once)
System Settings > General > Sharing > turn on Screen Sharing
Click (i) next to Screen Sharing > Computer Settings
Turn on "VNC viewers may control screen with password" and set a password.
Only the first 8 characters of the password are used.

CONNECT
Enter the Mac's IP address or name (e.g. 192.168.1.20 or my-mac.local)
and the VNC password. Different port: my-mac.local::5901

HANDY
  F11 ................. full screen on/off
Scale ............... Fit to window, or 25%–200%
Keyboard menu ....... Ctrl acts as Cmd (Ctrl+C = copy on the Mac)
Keep alive menu ..... keep the Mac awake, reconnect automatically
Clipboard ........... plain text copies both ways

GOOD TO KNOW
VNC password sign-in is not encrypted, so the screen and keystrokes travel
over the network as-is. Use it on your home network, or over a VPN —
don't expose the Mac's Screen Sharing to the internet.

  Settings are saved in %APPDATA%\MacVNC\settings.txt.
  Your password is never saved.

BUILD IT YOURSELF
MacVNC.cs is the complete source. From a Command Prompt:
  C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\csc.exe /nologo /target:winexe /optimize /out:MacVNC.exe MacVNC.cs
